Fun Way to Play Bingo with Buzzwords
We all know the basic rules, prizes and methods of playing bingo. The card held by each player has a series of numbers and as the caller announces each number, if a player has that particular number, they cross out or mark that number. When the player has a line of numbers or two lines of numbers or even every number, they call out ‘bingo’ and if their card is checked and found to be correct then there is a winner.
But people are always looking for new ways to play bingo, looking for variations to the basic game. Playing bingo online has not only given people a new way to play, it has made the game into a hugely popular pastime, so much so that people don’t even have to leave their home. They can download cards from a web site, tune in online and play to their heart’s content.
But the game’s promoters are always looking for new ways to play the same basic bingo routine and buzzwords bingo is a great new idea.
It is very simple. Instead of the caller announcing numbers and the players checking their card to see if they have that number, the caller announces a buzzword and each player has to check to see if it is listed on their card.
Now the buzzwords are often related to a theme. It could be a work function for a firm which sells items of clothing. The buzzwords would all be one of those clothing items in the company’s catalogue.
But then it might be group of people coming together for a shower tea. All the buzzwords are items you might bring for the new baby.
Then it could be a fund raiser for a sporting club where the buzzwords are names of famous past and present players. Or it could be a church gathering where the buzzwords are books in the bible. The list of ideas and the appropriate buzzwords is endless. This is what keeps making bingo fun. It is so adaptable, you can make your list of buzzwords from almost anything.
Of course this means printing cards for the buzzwords although you can get cards for the more obvious buzzword topics. For a small group of player and a unique list of buzzwords you will need to create your own cards but the small effort and expense will make your bingo game really popular with your local friends or colleagues.
Many companies use buzzword bingo as part of a morale building or team strengthening exercise with their employees. It’s also a good ice-breaker when starting an in-house training day at work.
One way to get a party going is to play buzzword bingo. If the buzzwords are related to the guests or the birthday person, that makes the game much more fun.
Traditional bingo will always be popular but there are times when a change is as good as a holiday. This can be achieved by playing bingo online or in your local hall by using buzzwords rather than numbers. You will give your brain a new challenge and have lots of fun at the same time.

Dog coat/sweater for XL dog…where to find.?
I am having a hard time finding a coat/sweater for my dog. She is a 110 boxer mastif mix who has a barrel chest that makes it very hard to find something that fits. I’ve tried a couple in xl and xxl and nothing fits around her chest or her collar to chest. Her measurements are neck 22, chest 38, collar to chest 14, length 28. Anyone know of any sites that cater to very large dog clothing, Mastiffs, Great Danes, Rotts, etc…
I wouldn’t be asking if I had not tried all these places. (petco,petsmart, ebay) What these places have for a xxl is too small.
Coats for big dogs are very hard to find. I’ve got a ridgie X mastiff with a very thin, short coat who feels the cold badly. I couldn’t find any shops either local or online who had anything big enough (XXL wouldn’t even go around his neck, never mind his chest!) and so I had one made for him- the local saddlers did one very cheaply for me with offcuts from the horserugs they make.
